Flavours of the Past and Present: In August, 2000, Christ Church Cathedral in Whitehorse will celebrate its hundredth anniversary. To mark this occasion, the ACW has compiled this centennial cookbook in memory of the many pioneer churchwomen of this parish and Territory who strove to “keep a good table” in spite of the difficulties inherent in their isolated location.

Included are recipes from old church cookbooks, former clergy and parishioners, and from a number of First Nations elders, all of whom form part of the tapestry of our past. In addition, we have included a selection of more modern recipes typical of today's dietary patterns, as well as brief historical notes concerning some of our predecessors.
